How likely is a coup by CCP insiders to depose Xi Jinping?
At this point, really, really unlikely. Xis handling of COVID and his war against big tech has gotten him enough popularity that he has a third term if he wants it.

One *HUGE* problem with a coup is who would replace Xi. The Vice-President of China is Wang Qishan (a.k.a. Xis hatchet man), and they were roommates during the Cultural Revolution. Rumor has it that Wang Qishan is a fan of House of Cards and enjoys the
    character of Frank Underwood.

If Xi choked on a won-ton, had a mysterious heart attack, got stuck by lightning, or accidently shot himself while cleaning a machine gun, Wang Qishan is the last person you would want in charge.

It wouldnt be a coup, but if things had gone differently (i.e. Xi had completely mishandled COVID), then there would be enough support in the party to deny him a third term.

Also the idea that the corrupt rich people with offshore bank accounts would get together to overthrow Xi is completely laughable because

why do you think Xi is so popular and
corrupt rich people with overseas bank accounts are the last people that are willing to stick their neck out for the greater good. If they really want to keep their stuff, it is going to be easier to buy plane tickets to the US where they can cry over
how bad Xi is to their billionaire friends in the US.
