How can Africa reject China's colonialism?
    Definition of colonialism.

the policy or practice of acquiring full or partial political control over another country, occupying it with settlers, and exploiting it economically.

You need to be clear minded of the difference between trade/investment cooperation and colonialism. To-date China has not interfere in Africa’s political system, nor did China exploits Africa’s resources and its people.

Trade and investment encompasses the element of money, loan and products. This is a fair exchange if one party is willing to lent/invest and the other party is willing to borrow albeit with collateral. There is no free lunch in this world considering
China is still a developing country. Africa is an attractive investment place for China due to Africa’s breakneck pace of urbanization that come with many unprecedented economic opportunities. The IMF recently declared Africa the world’s second
largest growing region. Africa has the upper hand to reject China’s investment and cooperation by not inking the contracts if it deems the conditions are not in its favour. No one in China is pointing a gun or chains to Africa by forcing Africa to sign.

China Cooperation with Africa is always based on equal partnership, never on colonial master/slave relationship as can be seen in the West in the past.

Would a colonial master build modern transport like this in Africa and perform knowledge transfer ?

Would a colonial master trade fairly with Africa ? China has overtaken the US and Europe as Africa’s largest trading partner

Would a colonial master invest in Africa manufacturing capabilities ? China invested $819 million in car manufacturing plant in South Africa

Colonialism always brings images like this. Never of equal footing.
