Is China's brutal crackdown did with Hong Kong (as well as Xinjiang, Tibet, etc.) signs of China's weakness and not strength?
The questioner’s use of the word “brutal” in the question has exposed his or her ignorance and weakness. The Hong Kong police arrested many incredibly violent and brutal rioters. The law then sent these criminals to jail. This would happen to
violent rioters in the US or UK.

All the while the Mainland government held back in patience, ignoring the deliberate goading from the western media. You, dear questioner are probably disappointed that China didn’t lose its restraint. Now you choose to accuse China of brutality? I say
that your behaviour is very cowardly.

China has been the strong minded power in all the pathetic attempts of the US backed media and politicians and military forces to goad China into more drastic action. However, unlike the US and its allies, China doesn’t bomb, kill, invade or oppress.
If you, dear questioner actually go to Hong Kong, you will find that most people are happy that the law has brought those scumbags to justice.
