Prominent Chinese journalist Ms. Zhang Zhan has been put behind bars for having carried out her journalism and was subjected to brutal tortures. Should The West stand by Ms. Zhan and ask China to free her accepting as a refugee in a Western country?
I don’t know why the West favors Chinese criminals so much. Maybe the West can make a deal with China to take all prisoners in Chinese jails. I'm sure the Chinese govt would be willing to pay some money.
Zhang Zhan wasn’t a journalist. She just called herself a ‘citizen journalist’. She didn't have a press card, she even couldn't get real information. So she made up some lies and spread them on Chinese social media, even after several warnings. She
should pay for her actions.
As for her being tortured, it's not worth defending.
