    Is China really as powerful as we Indians think?
    No, China is more powerful than what Indians think.

    China's real power lies in its economy.

    China is the world's largest economy by PPP GDP ( 2.5 times of India’s GDP). China is the world's 2nd largest economy by nominal GDP only after US ( 5 times of India’s GDP). China will surpass US economy by nominal GDP around 2030.
    China is the world's largest manufacturing country & supplies more than 50% manufactured goods to the world( India is nowhere near as close to China in the manufacturing sector).
    Total assets of the Reserve Bank of China are more than the entire GDP of India. Just 1 Chinese bank has more money than the entire GDP of India!
    China has the world's largest stock of forex reserves ( 10 times that of India).
    China has most billionaires & millionaires in the world only after US.
    5 out of 10 of the world's largest conglomerates are Chinese companies.
    China is the world's largest manufacturer of semi conductors which are required to make electronic products.
    China adds economy of India to its overall GDP every 2.5 years.
    I have a long list. The point is, India is nowhere near as close to China economically & it doesn't seem like India will surpass China economically in the 21st century.

    Militarily, China is a paper tiger in comparison to the US military and US is likely to remain the superpower for atleast 50 years. But China’s military is more advanced and powerful than India. China's main focus right now is to surpass US
    economically. Once China surpasses US economically, China will convert this economic power to military power very easily ( same as US which transformed economic power to military power in ww2).

    Indians are busy in comparing their country with failed state Pakistan. Meanwhile China is overtaking US in every field. Chinese don’t consider Indians as their enemy, not even a competitor.

    It is high time that Indians should compare our country with China and not with Pakistan.
