China and Russia discussed forming an independent trade network to reduce reliance on an international financial system led by U.S. Do you think its necessary? How difficult would it be to set up such a system?
It's not a discussion anymore, China and Russia will do it. Sanction is really the nail in the coffin for USA. Every sanction it imposes unilaterally, gets it closer to losing its global currency status demise ever faster.
In 10 short years US is no position to sanction any country anymore. The moment it sanction that country will jump into the China Russia band wagon. The faster they sanction, the faster China and Russia will act.
