Are the Hong Kongers regretting switching from the UK to China’s administration?
Under British rule, Hong Kong did not have a legislative council made up of locals. They were under British rule that was far more heavy-handed and brutal than its current rule under the LegCo. But today’s youngsters did not have to go through that. If
they did, they would be glad that the British have left.

But as a foreigner, the biggest change that I noticed is that under British rule,
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tsim Sha Tsui was full of girlie bars, including topless ones and Wan Chai ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
was a red light district. Today, the whole of Hong Kong has been cleaned up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This, to me, is the most obvious improvement under local rule. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
