China IS moving in. It is ingratiating itself with
both the leftover government AND Taliban. It will
be indispensible, addictive.
And wind up in-charge.
Issues ? Pit faction against faction, making $$$
by dealing with all sides. The GOAL is the exotic
mineral wealth there, not the territory per-se.

As for what they're "waiting for" ... it will take
a few more months for all the other external powers
to fully withdraw and dis-engage. I see Joe has
sent in some B-52s, but it's all for looks, won't
change anything. THEN ......
The USA/EU/NATO/Etc are EAGER to get the hell out
of Afghanistan. Once done, if China wants it, China
can HAVE it. As for the Afghanis ... they just jumped
from frying-pan to fire - but that's the usual
life there .......
