Black Lives Matter condemned the shooting of Patrick Lyoya by a Grand
Rapids police officer earlier this month. The statements included the
usual platitudes about racist police officers, systemic racism, and white supremacy. Basically, everyone and everything is at fault except the
person who resisted arrest, fought the police officer, and tried to take
his weapon. As such, BLM is sticking to a proven business model and can
    expect to reap another windfall.

Yet, given the reports of what BLM does with the donations it receives,
the real question should be how many mansions BLM and its officers will be
able to purchase because of the death of Lyoya.

BLM’s latest “protests” come after it was discovered earlier this month
that the group used donations it received to purchase a $6 million mansion
in California. This was just one of the luxurious properties the group has purchased over the past year. Lyoya's death is just BLM's latest capital infusion and buying opportunity. Hopefully, people have caught on to BLM’s
lies at this point and will stop funding its luxury real-estate portfolio.
    But I doubt it.

“Every single day, people fleeing violence from around the world come to America in pursuit of a dream that they soon learn is a lie, thanks to
white supremacy,” the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation
released in a statement. "Patrick Lyoya’s dream was met with a bullet, his
last moments caught on surveillance and cell phone video."

Except Lyoya wasn't killed because of white supremacy. He was killed
because, during a traffic stop, he fought with a police officer and tried
to steal the officer's taser. Had he not done that, Lyoya would be alive
today and BLM would have one less fundraising opportunity.

BLM is trying to create a situation in which police officers' lives are constantly at the mercy of criminals' violent mischief. This cannot be.
Police officers do not have to suffer harm at the hands of criminals, especially those reaching for police weapons, just to show they are not
    racist.

Such lies about various shootings have helped BLM raise a ton of money,
mainly from corporations trying to avoid racial boycotts, woke
celebrities, and white liberals who support such false narratives.

It also shows that the group doesn’t care about black lives. If it did, it would recognize that criminals are a much greater threat to black lives
than the police officers. It would preach about individual accountability
and responsibility. It would advise people to not fight with police
officers and to not reach for police officers’ weapons. But those healthy messages might be bad for business.
