A 17-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Saturday afternoon in
Forestdale, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. An 18-
year-old has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting.
Deputies responded to the 700 block of Mohave Drive around 2 p.m. Saturday
on reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found the victim
suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the
scene.
A suspect was developed in the case and was eventually taken into custody.
The suspect is being held without bond in accordance with Aniah's Law.
The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
