Everything is a belief.
So...ultimately...
"You can't prove anything because everything depends on a person's willingness to believe."
If a person chooses not to believe, that is the end of the matter.
It reminds me of a RC Sproul joke.
It goes something like this...
This woman is worried about her husband.
Her husband keeps telling her he is dead.
She calls in the psychiatrist.
The psychiatrist spends the day trying to explain to the husband that
he is not dead. In exasperation, the psychiatrist picks up a needle
and plunges it into his thumb, and blood comes gushing out. He then
plunges the needle into the thumb of the husband, and blood comes
gushing out.
The psychiatrist says, "You see, dead men don't bleed!"
The husband, looking dumbfounded, stares lingeringly at his finger and
says, "Well, what do you know? Dead men do bleed."
Everything is a belief.
"You can't prove anything because everything depends on a person's willingness to believe."
It is really not that hard.

There's a lot of truth in this.
It may be one of the reasons Buddha counselled us not to believe
anything. Including his teachings.
