This is true. The incident did happen and it was a disaster. At that time I was working with the environmental protection agency government of Sindh. I conducted an enquiry into the matter and there were a couple of versions including the one you
mentioned. However the truth was different from this coverup. Three employees were involved in pilferage and they used to fill the bowsers on almost daily basis. They were so habitual of this this pilferage ( which means that alot of people knew about it
) that they had dedicated customers as well. One fine day the valve of one storage tank could not be turned off properly and that friction caused all this havoc
