It's deliberately deceitful propaganda targeting unthinking morons. So
they're not just idiots.
I know, but I'd like to know who the "stars" [sic] of the video are.
Try IMDB.com. Anyway, "racist" as you might think it is, MTV basically
ran itself into the ground when it switched to an all-Rap format by
the early-1990s. Then it created several spinoff channels, including
a Metal one which they quickly switched to Rap format, then MTV
Español, which showed Rock music in Spanish (I love latino music,
precisely because most of it is *NOT* Rock! Juanes from Colombia
is one exception, so is Maná from Mexico, and also electronic
musician Moenia, also from Mexico).
While on the subject, check out Bobby Pulido (from Texas), Bronco
(from Mexico), and Chino y Nacho (from Venezuela). You will not
believe the talent and diversity of latino music until you
actually listen to it! I need to add Intocable (from Texas),
and especially Kumbia Kings -- which has since spinned off into
two new bands, Kumbia Allstarz and Los Super Reyes. (They are
also from Texas, meaning all of this is AMERICAN music, whether
you like the Spanish language or not, racist).
Now they've created a "new" channel, MTV Classic, which tries to
re-create the aura of the original MTV, with actual non-Rap music
videos and re-runs of "Beavis & Butt-Head." Huh huh huh, that is
soooo kewl! Not that it really matters, as MTV singlehandedly
destroyed the art of music video, which only recently reappeared
after the advent of YouTube.

(Now tell me you didn't enjoy that tune, even if you didn't
understand a word of it!)
