The eurozone's manufacturing and service sectors continue
to shrink, against a backdrop of falling demand and climbing
    costs.

Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB) and the index provider S&P
Global released a new set of data on Friday measuring the
economic health of the euro area.

The four key PMI (Purchasing Managers' Index) figures look
at a range of indicators across the manufacturing and service
sectors, including new orders, output, employment, suppliers’
    delivery times, and inventories.

Composite PMI Output Index, which is a weighted average that
looks at output between the two sectors, came in at 47 for
the start of December, down from 47.6 in November, and 46.5
    in October.

The composite index has now remained below 50, the threshold
for economic contraction, for seven months.

    . . .

The EU is slowly dying. A variety of factors are involved.
Post-Covid costs (and social decohesion after) were extreme,
The Ukraine situation has been a burden and the cut-off of
cheap Russian oil/gas figures prominently. Chinese interests
continue their march to displace/destroy EU-based manufacturing
    as well.

More subjectively, EU pols have been much more interested in
seeming "Woke" than in actually making sure their nations
and people thrive. There is also a sense of 'malaise' that
is apparent in the daily news stories ... a public sense
that things will NOT get better. "Spirit" is very important
to a nations future, and there is less and less of it. The
inflation, the imported Islamists, the social decohesion
and rise of extremist malcontents ... "spirit", "hope", are
just not as easy to come by as they used to be.

The fall of Rome was not due to any one big calamity but
instead more because Rome had lost "spirit", just did not
care about being Rome anymore. There is now a smell of this
in the EU (and 'west' in general).

However as in those times, 'barbarians' ARE waiting just
outside the proverbial gates. They have 'spirit' and
'aggression' - "eye of the tiger" so to speak. To a
point this includes Russsia, but mostly China and NK
    and Iran/rad-Islam too.

You WON'T like them. They offer only slavery, oppression
and horrors for a thousand years.
