  • How is Piraeus spelled in Greek?

    Hello, All:

    I recently spent a little time in Piraeus, Greece. I have seen that the Greek word for the place is Πειραιάς, but somewhere I have also seen the word Πειραιώς, and the pronunciation of the name by local people sounds closer to the latter.

    Could anyone tell if Πειραιώς is also a correct spelling of Piraeus?
