Good morning! Thank you Casalao for sharing the video. I did not know that some Lao Hmong also got accept to French Guyana. I wonder if they are Hmong from refugee camp. You know the Napo camp, Thalansit etc... Of course, it got shut down now. But I
am curious, I wonder why it did not get to mention that in the video script.

This old video clip https://youtu.be/cQ479oX5KPA in French described the early arrival of the Hmong in French Guyana. They arrived in 1977 directly from Thailand. The report didn't say from which refugee camp. Nongkhai maybe? They faced quite a few
challenges such as local protest not welcoming them and having to start from scratch at Cacao, cutting down trees and building homes and roads. And now more than forty years later, the Hmong supply around 70 percent of vegetables to the local economy.

Good morning Casalao! How are you? I hope you are taking care of yourself as you know we are not getting any younger. The Covid-19 vaccination is free for certain group for now. I think group 1 to 4. If you are already 65 years old or work in the
front-line, like our KC who are posting on and off (and I hope you are not that old heheheh!!), you are legible. As for Lao Hmong from Laos, I think the Laotian Hmongs were separated from the low land Lao while temporary living in Thailand camp in the
80s. But Thai Dam that I saw were allowed to group together with Low land Lao. I wonder why it was so. But definitely if they are from the camp from Thailand, they are Lao-Hmong. On the video clip, no one speak Laotian, even the older ones, so I am
not quit sure if they are Hmong from Northern Laos. They don't speak Thai either so it is hard to tell which Hmong group they belong to.
