Today (June 21) is National Indigenous Peoples Day
here in Canada.
It is still not long after summers solstice (the peak
of the solar year) here, and full moon (the peak
of the lunar cycle) is tonight here, and it is also
about the peak of the 11 year sunspot cycle.
I’m making yet another Sisyphean moon rock rolling
attempt, which I am reporting on on the thread
“crest of a moon/crest of the sun” on alt.religion.druid .
This moon reminds me of another full moon, that
of the 1990 Celtica Festival in Vancouver, when
i had some barbecued salmon prepared by BC
native people. I also in the summers of 1994
and 1995 played for the W.I.S.E. Club in
slow pitch softball against the Hooligans
(a play on oolichan, small fish like our Newfoundland
capelin), who I think included some native people.
