PMs are supposed to talk to everybody. Pierre Trudeau made his
reputation (and largely won the election) in 1968 by speaking
forcefully to a hostile St Jean Baptiste crowd the weekend before the
1968 election - when has Justin >ever< faced down a hostile crowd?
On the other side I see no useful purpose in the protesters shutting
down the biggest shopping mall in Ottawa. What could they possibly
hope to gain? And what was that horsebleep about demanding to be fed
at a homeless shelter?
Do these people not understand that due to the pandemic MOST Canadian politicians have been operating electronically for more than a year
now and except for the federal cabinet only a tiny minority have been
within a mile of the Center Block in 2021 much less 2022?
Or if they want unvaxxed drivers to be allowed to drive their trucks
into the US they need to deal with Joe Biden not Justin Trudeau?
Long past time for a Make Canada Great Again

Oh yea, it's going be a cold hungry winter with all
the truckers at a halt. Think the food and beer just
appear magically on the store shelves ? Not THEIR
fault Trudeau went all Big Brother extreme. HE was
a total prick - YOU pay for it.
Uh if you think this rally involves all or even the majority of
Canadian truckers you're just plain delusional. It's a media circus to
make their point nothing more.
Nothing wrong with that of course but it's a far cry from a general
strike in the trucking industry. And no question they're far from
having made the best possible argument in the public eye - some
egregious tactical blunders have been made. If they're truly trying to
win Canadian hearts and minds they're going about it badly.
