Ahhh finally someone is talking about the topic which interests me. I used to be
really interested in all the advertisements that used to come on vividh bharti.
IMHO the jingles over there were more catchy. Especially quite a few of those ads which were in punjabi. Delhi vividh bharti used to have quite a few of them.
Let me see if I remember some of them.
Punjabi Ads on Vividh Bharti (Delhi Kendra) -------------------------------------------
First Man : O laddi ja laddi ja maal ..
    (Keep loading the stuff)
Second Man : O Gaddi de Patte Kamaniyaan na tut jaan ?
( Wont your trucks suspension system break down)
First Man (proudly) : TTI de patte kamaniyan lai hoi ne
( I have suspension system from TTI ..)
Second Man ( reassured ) : Taaan phir laddi ja
(Then in that case keep loading ..)

Man : Mein kya parjhai mubarakaan!!!
    (Congratulations, Sister in Law!!)
    Woman : Kaa diyaan
    (For what )
Man : Ae Baalan te keda mantar phera hai je inne kaale te ghane ho gaye hein (What magic have you done to you hair to make them so black and thick)
Woman : Ae kamaal hai Dabar (?) shikakai kesh tel da. Mera te bhartiya nariyan
da manpasand Dabur shikakai kesh tel
(This is all thanks to Dabur oil. Mine and Indian ladies favorite Dabor
    ...)
    And my favorite was

Woman : Ae das badshah, Bobby saban da kee bhav
(Tell me O'King(!), What is the cost of Bobby Soap)
Man : Sun meri billon, Bobby panj rupae kilo
(Listen my pussy, Bobby is five rupees kg) -------------------------------------------------
I guess advertisement on radio used to be pretty cheap so quite a few of local bussinesses also used to advertise on radio. I remember one ad from mohan
    gheee
Old man : Gaanw se khalis ghee mangwate thhe, Mohan ghee khaya to aisa shudh ke
gaanw se naata hi toot gaya.
Woman with a shrill voice : Ai jee Mohan ghee lete aiyega yeh ghar me bane ghee
    jaisa shudh hota hai
Group of people : Shudh ghee, mohan ghee

Then there was this advertisement by patel roadways which I don't quite remember.
However, it used to go something like this
    Patel roadways, patel roadways
    kangaaro hai nishani,
    aji jaani aur pahchaani
    patel roadways, patel roadways.. ---------------------------------------------------------
There used to be quite a few ads which used to be a tad embarrasing (never emabarrassed me though). A few about parivar niyojan and nirodh used to be pretty puzzling for me when I was young. I remember one pretty well
Girl : Jap hame sahi dhang se paal nahi pate, to paida hi kyon kiya tha
Boy : Jis pya ke hum hakdar hain woh pyar hame kyon nahi diya
Girl : Hamari jurooratoa (voice fades)
Man : Sawaal kai hain magar, jawab sirf ek, Nirodh, parivar niyojan ka sacha sati
Nirodh. Keemat sir pandrah paise. ------------------------------------------------------------
Then there was also quite a few entertaining one for Janghiya and Baniyan Young India
Young India baniyan dekho kitna pyara
aaha jaadu sundar aur jaada chalne waala
    bachche boorhe aur jawaan
pehne young india, young india, young india baniyan

    young india jaanghiye aur baniyan
    Rupa
First man : Kyoun bhai, bahut khush nazar aa rahe ho
Second man : Andar ki baat hai
First man : Rupa baniyan pehen rakhi hai kya
    Second man : Haan
First man : To phir suryaprabha ka rupa underwear bhi peheno
Background : Suryaprabha ke rupa baniyan aur rupa underwear.

    Dora
Kids : Papa papa aaeye, hamare liye kya laaye
Papa : Raju ke liye dora baniyan, chunnu ke liye dora jaanghiye and munni ke liye
    dora rumal

I don't know if you guys ever heard these ads or remember them. I used
to be really fond of them and can recite quite a few others. If any of you remember few more then do write them.
    Alok
