HOW IS A WAR CRIME DEFINED?
The International Criminal Court in The Hague defines war crimes as "grave breaches" of the post-World War Two Geneva Conventions, agreements which lay out the international humanitarian laws to be followed in war time. Breaches include deliberately
targeting civilians and attacking legitimate military targets where civilian casualties would be “excessive,” legal experts said.
US is so quick to accuse Russia of war crimes.
A male civilian in the Ukraine was technically drafted, and civilian insurgency is encouraged by US.
Russia's defense could simply be that the dead are Ukrainians who are potential Ukrainian civilian defense entities and were shot as suspected insurgents.
It is all a nasty affair, but US only escalating tensions by using media to promote the genocide spin.
War crime?
Sorry, not enough proof or the case is not sound enough for guilt beyond shadow of doubt.
Certainly each party in a war will accuse the other of war crimes while war still active. Untruth is the norm at the moment, especially from the belligerent parties..
