    I would also ask of Putin to allow a complete evacuation while also advising Ukraine not to use that route to resupply Ukrainian military still fighting to hold the city.
    We would expect the same offer to be extended to the rest of Ukrainian civilians in the Donbas.
    Zelensky has no sense by forcing the civilians to stay in place as human shields and then to accuse Russia of war crimes because of his own negligence to retreat them to safety in time...

    Refugees have right of return in all cases. They might have to conform to Russian rule, but will have life's needs addressed.

    Note that the Ukrainian army would be allowed to retreat from Mariupol
