A bill to create one of the nation's most restrictive bans
on minors' use of social media is heading to Republican
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has expressed concerns about
the legislation to keep children under the age of 16 off
popular platforms regardless of parental approval.

The House passed the bill on a 108-7 vote Thursday just
hours after the Senate approved it 23-14. The Senate made
changes to the original House bill, which Republican Speaker
Paul Renner said he hopes will address DeSantis' questions
    about privacy.

    . . .

Can't be enforced - no way. This is political posturing.
The SENTIMENT is popular, but the MEANS ain't there and
may put pressures on large comm companies that will make
them stop providing services in Florida.

    The Republican solution to EVERYTHING
    is a government ban.

Illinois wants to make even questioning unlimited abortion
rights (and the usual tranny stuff) legal CHILD ABUSE.

In the name of "fewer regulations",
    of course..........

The catalog of "woke" restrictions vastly exceeds ...

    Look in the mirror first.

Can you list some of these "woke" laws? The ones I'm aware of are things
like "All men are created equal..."

When you sneeringly write (or say) "woke" or "wokie" or "wokism," what you're doing is telling the world that you're a racist Nazi. People who use some derivative of "woke" as a political insult believe all of the following:

    * racism is gone; a thing of the past
    * there are no lingering effects of racism
    * there is no good public purpose in teaching about how slavery fucked up
    the founding of the country
    * there is no good public purpose in teaching about racism, both the history
of it and its current effects
    * there is no good public purpose in teaching about Jim Crow
    * the confederacy was a noble "lost cause"

Those are all lies. Only Nazis believe those lies. People whom Nazis want to castigate and sneer at as "wokies" want to address racism — very real, current
and contemporary racism. The people who call them "wokies" are Nazis, because only Nazis believe the lies about racism being a thing of the past, and that school instruction shouldn't address contemporary racism. School instruction *should* address both contemporary and historical racism, and only Nazis oppose that.
