    "Sanctuary" SOUNDED so MORAL, so WOKE, so WONDERFUL,
    didn't it ?

    That was when everybody just assumed the flood of
    "immigrants" were gonna afflict only those nasty
    evil "red" states along the border ........

    Still though ... 67,000 ? NYC is nearly ten MILLION
    depending on where you draw the lines. 67K is a
    proverbial DROP - yet NYC is overwhelmed, imploding.
    Yep, city finances/resources have become THAT thin.

    Guess what happens if there's some OTHER crisis ...
    they'll be eating each other .......

    Anyway, looks as if the mighty have fallen.
    Entirely their own fault. The new NYC equiv
    will maybe be Houston, Atlanta, Miami ......

    Sanctuary cities are not meant to ATTRACT illegals. They just allow them
    to report crimes without simultaneously deporting them, with the theory
    that having law enforcement aware of ongoing crime is a good thing.
