. . .
THANKS JOE !!!
What this means is that the remnants of "normal life"
are largely a fiscal ILLUSION, purchased on (high-
interest) CREDIT.
Yea, yea, most western NATIONS are living a similar
half-life ... all the bread and circuses bought via
international debt (though the interest rate is a
bit lower). The pols CAN'T let the bread and circuses
go away - they're trapped. So ... every year .....
The beloved "1st-world lifestyle" really IS unsustainable.
We, esp the USA, had a post-WW2 boom and that became the
"norm", what everyone expected, the standard image of
"how things are supposed to be". Alas based on our actual
productivity, profits, something closer to a 1930s
depression lifestyle is actually a more realistic 'norm'.
Credit cards and other kinds of loans simply encourage
people to live the unsustainable lifestyle, and it gets
more ridiculous every year. There WILL be a crash point.
No escape. You can only live lies for just SO long before
the numbers and circumstances catch up with you.
