An exclusive investigation by Daily Mail might make you
reconsider your next order of fried chicken at American
fast-food chains. The investigation reveals these restaurants
infuse their chicken with additives, preservatives, and
other proteins to keep costs low. Some of these menu items
are described as "premium" or "all-white-meat," but far
from it, instead include ingredients such as seaweed and
even wood pulp.
The report said there are more than 120 ingredients hidden
within chicken burgers or nuggets at fast food restaurants.
Those ingredients are listed below on a restaurant-by-restaurant
basis:
. . .
An article worth reading - and I've seem the same
reports elsewhere.
In short - STICK TO "WHOLE MEATS" or these days you
have NO IDEA what they're really selling you. By
"whole meats" I mean steaks, slices of what's clearly
ham/turkey, obvious chicken parts like breasts wings
and drumsticks.
Seems like those "processed" bits - "nuggets" and
"patties" and the like - may not contain very much
of what you THINK you're paying for. No, they're not
poison, just a BIG LIE. I bought Wendy's stock WAY
back ... but now ........ how best to dump a stock
real quick&cheap ? Ain't gonna eat at any of these
places again - liars don't deserve any money.
Of note Chik-fil-A was *not* included in the
cheat-ya list - but that doesn't mean they
aren't thinking about it. KFC may be good,
but buy those "real parts", not something
made of meat(less) goo. A return to "real
resturaunts" may be wise at this juncture.
Oh, and the legally inclined, time for some HUGE
lawsuits. If you PAY for what's advertised as a
chicken nugget it should be goddamned CHICKEN, not
33.3% chicken. Put the liars out of biz and
start over.
