Many quake victims have been forced to loot for food and
find shelter from cold

But plenty of opportunistic thieves seized the chance to
take what they could

Some were caught by vigilante citizens and security officials
and took a beating

Maybe Turkey is more civilized that I thought .......

As the Big Hurricane hit Florida last year the
gov, AND a bunch of local sheriffs, said outright
that it was OK, indeed encouraged, to shoot looters.
One sheriff said to shoot 'em A LOT until there was
nothing left but pink goo - just to be sure. Guess
what, basically ZERO looting/ravaging despite the
scale and scope of the disaster ......

The MSNBC crowd was *appalled* ! How DARE you
say to shoot thugs/looters/rapists/pillagers !!!
Of course THEY live in high-$$$ gated/guarded
neighborhoods ........... protection for THEM,
and FUCK *YOU* .........

In Fla you have a govt by and for The People - not
the thugs. And no, thugs voluntarily make themselves
distinct from "The People" ....

Contrast to what happened after hurricane Andrew -
kids had to do night watch with shotguns to keep
the pillagers away from their families and what
tatters were left of their property under Dem
gov Chiles. Wonder why Florida is 'red' - THIS
was one of the big reasons, people *remember*
