Ummmmmm ... TV ad ... now Kay Jewelry wants to sell
me a branded credit card.
Ya know, if I had the interest, and financial clout,
to buy THAT many damned jewels I'd fire-up the old
LearJet and zip up to the Big Apple and visit Cartier's
or Tiffany .... can't beat a box with those labels
for prestige and Snob Appeal on this side of The Pond :-)
Think Kim Kardashian buys her stuff at Kay's or Zales
in the smouldering remains of the local shopping mall ?
(I'm old enough to remember when big shopping malls
were the New Great Thing ... and yea, you CAN buy it
online cheaper now, but the Consumer Nirvana factor
was still the malls. You could BROWSE, SEE IT, TOUCH
IT - and see if you really looked good in that pair
of pants instead of just guessing)
