The word "tamil" is a British bastardization of the word Thamizh
I propose that the newsgroup names be changed .
I also wonder if someone can propose to the Government of Thamizh Nadu to make appropriate changes. Since there seems to be a recent initiative to change many city names in Thamizh Nadu, this may be the right time
