• Looking for opinions on Student Microscopes

    Hi all,

I'm a lab technician at a college and researching a new purchase of 50 microscopes to be used by college level students (taking health science/ microbiology courses). We have microscopes currently and haven't been very happy with how they have held up
in terms of not staying focused/ stage moving on its own etc. Hoping to make a better choice this time.

Looking for a pretty basic microscope with 4-100x objective +oil, binocular, mechanical stage, fixed Kohler and LED illumination.

Looking for recommendations on the following companies: Zeiss, Leica, Olympus, Nikon in terms of ease of use, durability, price etc.

    Thanks!

To err is human. To really foul things up requires a computer and the BOFH.
