• Apollo 4 launch video

From David Lesher@21:1/5 to All on Tue Nov 21 01:42:31 2023
Apollo 4 was the first launch of the full SIC, SII, SIVB, LM, CSM stack.

It was rather [in]famous for the acoustics at takeoff; it was far louder
than predicted. That did millions of dollars of damage to the launch facilities.

Walter Cronkite was covering it from a small trailer on
scaffolding behind the press bleachers, 3 miles back from LC-39.
At launch, his trailer shook so badly the ceiling was falling on
    Cronkite.

I've searched unsuccessfully for a clip showing this, with his
arms covering his head, but continuing to report.

    Has anyone seen/found this clip?
