If we are inside an expanding black hole, what would it look like? Is it possible that James Webb is looking back to galaxies in our local area but seeing them as they were billions of years ago, looking as if they are very far away, when in fact oneof them may even be the Milky Way itself? Indeed we may be looking multiple times around the black hole (we are inside of) and seeing our local galaxies multiple times, each time further in the past. Have we checked for that possibility?

If we are writing the comedy play of inside Puff the Magic Dragon looking for Loch Ness Nessie and stopping over at Santa's Workshop to see how witch brooms can fly and are manufactured by gremlins living in holes underground that have air conditioning. And stick the Webb telescope. Indeed we maybe seeing Nessy multiple times and think it was I love Lucy teaming up with Keeping up Appearances. Have we checked that possibility??

Hi @Archimedes Plutonium, there have been serious theoretical papers in peer-reviewed widely circulated journals theorising about the possibility that our universe is inside a black hole (American Journal of Physics - 1994, Symmetry - 2022). Thereforethis is a legitimate question for those who actually do this stuff for a living from someone who does not. Your puerile dismissal of a reasonable question advertises your naïveté, I'm afraid, rather than proves your superiority.
So to people who actually know about physics: If the circumference of the black hole were currently 4 billion light years, could we not be seeing components of the Local Group as they were 4 billion years ago/away, and then possibly further versionsseveral billion years before that (presumably the circumference of the black hole was smaller then). Possibly there may even be repeats where the same object's light is travelling toward us in multiple directions. I'm presuming someone has done the math
