    So, well I have gone as far as possible on proving Water is really H4O, not H2O, and that the hydrogen atom is really H2, and thus waiting for the measuring of mass of hydrogen versus oxygen in electrolysis of water.

    But the same then goes for methane H4C. Is it really H8C and not H4C. But I have no idea how to separate the H from the C as in water electrolysis.

    Methane is a gas, and only a liquid at 91-112Kelvin.

    Can you run a electric current through methane liquid without it blowing up?
