I did not have sufficient capsular support in the OD for a standard IOL, so one was sclerally sutured (following a vitrectomy) in 2013. Capture of the IOL by the iris was common, even shortly after this surgery.
In Nov. 2014 I had the first episode in which cloudy vision abruptly occurred in the OD, resolving spontaneously after a couple of days. These episodes became more frequent and of longer duration.
On Mar. 4 I had a much more severe attack, leaving only light perception. This was treated with Pred Forte and vision is much improved, though there are still numerous floaters and cloudiness. However, after a month of rather intensive treatment, it is
still with me.
I suspect that the IOL is going to have to come out (and, hopefully, be replaced with a more suitable one), and sooner rather than later. Would anyone care to speculate on this? If it's necessary, it should be done.
