Jim,
Thank you very much for this lead. I have moderate (and sometimes
worse) BPH sysmptoms and I did not know such a device existed. I may
well pick one up for the identical reason you have. On long drives, it
can become very awkward and embarrassing with a car full of people to
have to stop every hour or sometimes even more frequently.
I assume the sizes on the web page are tubing lengths and not the degree
of one's endowedness? {Grin!!}
For those of you who may be interested, the product is manufactured by Sierra. The below is the direct link to the frame on CYNERMEDS' page
with the McGuire Urinal.

Jim, Thanks again.

My friend's father is bedridden and a quadriplegic. Today I heard of a "trucker's truss", or rubber urinal, that he could use during the night. Can anyone help? Thanx.
What you are looking for is NOT a Foley catheter. It is called a McGuire urinal and is comprised of a modified atheletic supporter to which is attached
a removeable latex sheath. The sheath fits over the penis and contains an internal "cuff" which prevents leakage. I find the McGuire urinal very comfortable for long periods of time and use one for extended travel when I don't want to make a lot of pit stops.
You can purchase one from several medical supply houses on the WWW or possibly
from a home medical store in your town. Here are two WWW stores:

http://www.a-zmedical.com/urologicals.html
You will also need to buy a collection bag, either one that fits on your leg
or one that can be suspended out of bed for night use. A piece of surgical tubing connects the sheath to the bag. I recommend the Hollister pleated leg
bags as most comfortable I have used.
There are also what are called condom "catheters." These things attach to the penis with an adhesive and I find them very uncomfortable and difficult to remove. They also tug and yank and generally are a nuisance. Hope this helps.
