Hello,
I have been diagnosed with prostatitis through the prostate massage method, it was very painful due to the prostate inflammation. The doctor's approach to treat this is to do this massage once a week and prescribed me bactrim in this way:
- 1 tablet the day before the massage
- 1 tablet in the day of massage
- 1 tablet the day after the massage
This is very different from what is described in the medicine's manual, and from what I understand about antibiotics is that you should always take them continuously.
I find this to be very sketchy and I am worried about the infection getting stronger if I take bactrim the way he prescribed.
Is anyone here familiar with the above method or is able to share an opinion on whether this can end up leading to a worse infection?
