• Sore gums

From KenK@21:1/5 to All on Thu Sep 26 17:52:55 2019
I have had all my teeth removed many years ago and usually prefer not to
    wear dentures.

The last few days one of my gums has become tender making it difficult to
eat and chew without pain. I've tried Orajel starting yesterday but so far
no help. I've not tried dentures when eating - yet. I've been chewing this
way for many years and this is the first time I've had discomfort.

    Any suggestions?

    TIA

Since you don't wear your dentures, we can't blame them. Unfortunately,
the list of possible causes for sores is long--some trivial, some not.
If you can find a place to upload a photo, I might have SOME idea of
what is going on--maybe not even then.
Can you say if the sore is getting worse, better or staying about the
    same at this point?

There doesn't seem to be a 'sore', per se. Just that pressure on the
right side of one gum has become painful.

Without examining you, possibly taking an x-ray or 2, I can't tell you
what might be going on--sorry. If the pain is persistent, I'm afraid
you'll have to have an in-person consultation.
