(NTXC), the largest engineering plastics production and R&D site owned by China National Bluestar Group, has introduced a filament grade PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) resin with the grade of Starester®1100A FL. It is mainly applied to tooth brush filaments
and cosmetic filaments.

With the unique and innovative polymerization technology to precisely controlling the crystallization and rheology behavior of PBT polyester materials, Starester®1100A FL exhibits excellent elasticity and high transparency after melt spinning, and this innovative technology of production process controlling by means of RTDB contributes to the excellent stability in product’s quality.

Compared with traditional polyamide (nylon6,12) materials used in the filament area, Starester®PBT have more superior physical properties such as elasticity and softness after being applied to the filament field, moreover, PBT filament can be tapered to about 18μm diameter, which creating best tactile experience for people during teeth brushing. It has been applied to the filament products by many well-known global and several toothbrushes brands, further enriching the product line of Starester®.
