Can any one answer this question posed by Russell:
"What is the relationship between erosive wear rate in slurry pumps vs. pump RPM, and are there any studies or published articles written by Industry experts
we can refer to?
Our experience indicates that a pump with a lower RPM will not erode as fast as
a higher RPM pump but we are not exactly sure why given that for any particular
pump discharge head the impeller tip-speed would be roughly the same regardless
of pump RPM. We have seen articles which indicate the wear rate of slurry pumps
varies by the RPM cubed but they did not say where or how they arrived at this
conclusion.
Thanks, Russell"
