Anyone working in the world of gravity surveying is encouraged to take a
look at the terrain correction software available at ilstu.edu in the /pub directory. The file is terrain.zip and contains my thesis research program to
calculate gravity terrain corrections automatically via USGS DEMs and the sloping wedge algorithm of Barrows and Fett (1991). The software is a Microsoft Excel 5 add-in, and is very user friendly. Modules are present to allow for the importing and mapping of USGS 1:24000 scale DEMs, calculation of
the terrain corrections, exporting of Surfer style x,y,z files, and combining adjacent DEM's. Examples of the USGS 1:24000 scale DEM's may be obtained from
spectrum.xerox.com.
Hope you find this helpful,
A.J.

correction package running under an EXCEL written by A. Romanelli?
Thanks in advance, Leon
