The NHC has announced Nicolas has formed in the W Gulf. As expected
for more than a week it will remain a TS with windspeeds peaking upto
65 kt at landfall ~7am Tue on the central TX coast. But it will
deliver rainfall and a storm surge to most of the coast from the
Mexico to LA borders as it parallels the coast.

Peak surge is 2-4 ft:

Rainfall along the coast is expected to be upto 15" around Houston
with upto 10" as far as upto Lk Charles and downto Brownsville.
