[How to transparently lie with climate statistics:]

During the summer of 1936, almost the entire US was over 100 degrees (38C) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E8nL6ySVcAM9BON?format=jpg&name=4096x4096
    -- Alley O. Cat Serial Dumass (various nyms), 13 Aug 2021 15:07

[Judicious prodding got Serial Dumass to go on and post a whole heap
of other, similar, claims about 1936.
He's not known as Serial Dumass fer no reason!].

    How to bullshit with statistics:
    * Throw away the 99% of months that don't agree with your claim.
(Anyone awake should now be 99% smelling B/S).
    * Throw away 99% of the data you don't need. Like temps under 100 deg F.

So... The claim can only be true for something like 0.01% of the
    available observations

So... If it's true it is an irrelevant outlier (4-sigma if you're into
    that kinda thing).

But don't worry. You don't need to look the definition of "outlier".
    The claim is transparently false.

"Almost all the entire" is apparently Serial Dumass hype for "around 15%".
Like most years in the US.

With few forms delivered, many residents in this remote community knew
    nothing about the census
    ABC Kimberley, 15 Aug 2021 01:40Z
Local worker shortages and COVID restrictions preventing fly-in census staff are blamed for forms not reaching many people in Western Australia's north. [This census went a bit smoother than the last one where no-one could
complete the online form until weeks after the supposed legal deadline
because no-one seems to have tested the system before it went live for
20 mn people. This time was better. But only slightly. The govt
site no longer supports browsers that are more than 5y old and will
not even connect to browsers that are more than 10y old. And don't get
me started on the design of the form itself].
