    Too Much Wind

Power & light (FPL Energy) owned wind farm in North Palm Springs,
    California.

'We produce more wind than anybody'
    - Florida Power & Light

Most of the time, that is. But not in the case of this failed Zond Energy Systems wind turbine crippled following recent high winds at the a North
Palm Springs, California wind farm owned by Florida Power & Light.

The failure of the wind turbine was the result of a tower failure, leaving
the approximate 50,000 pound wind turbine dangling over 200 feet above the ground. Tower workers inspecting the damage shortly after the failure in
March, 2005 said the turbine would be left to fall citing the danger of
    trying to remove it.

However, in early April the company did attempt to fell the tower by
cutting the four stanchion legs of the tower at ground level and then attempting to topple the tower using a front loader. The tower still
    stands as of this writing.

I guess you've never driven around Altamont Pass. https://goo.gl/maps/UZv9NLNSwoaMy4mX9

There are almost 5,000 windmills out there.

Looks like a Florida Power and Light problem. Absolutely nothing to do
    with California leftists.

Yah but all the windmills of California still can't outperform
    the windbags in Sacramento.

At we survived a heat wave without weeks long outages, and
neither California senator fleeing to Cancun.
