• OT: Presidential Debate

From Cursitor Doom@21:1/5 to All on Wed Sep 11 10:19:02 2024
    Gentlemen,

I didn't get to see the debate myself. I've only heard about it from the
MSM. Word is Harris beat the shit out of Trump. But the Globalist-
controlled Left-wing media would say that in any event, I'm quite sure.
There was never any doubt about how they were going to play this.
How does the Panel here feel the debate went? I'd welcome a more objective viewpoint.

I have only seen the parts CNN showed this morning here...
    Trump is weak...
But worse is that if demon-crates win, then WW3 is guaranteed.
'merrica is bankrupt anyways, making wars all over the world to sell the only products they still make, bad working weapons (like noisy F35 crap that could be located by John Larkin's
alligator electret audio amps, not even radar needed...)
No matter if those do not work or are used by genocide committing religious fanatics like youws

My mind likes to make jokes at times,
trumps steps down and nominates Musk as presidential candidate
It is a joke but maybe it will work.
But then again you need to be born in the US.... to qualify for precedent ..
    I think...

So, after the nuking what difference does it make,
    Putin as US president..
    New world order....

I saw most of it. Finally saw the closing arguments this morning.

Trump definitely took the bait and responded to Harris, He also got
flustered and failed to reply to obvious mistakes by Harris.

Hopefully whoever is president next realizes what is a realistic approach
will be to the problems created by the democrats for many years.

Trump may have lost the debate, but his closing arguments against Harris definitely gave him the advantage. Hopefully both responses will get some
    air time to the world.

So, after the nuking what difference does it make,
    Putin as US president..
    New world order....

When he was president Trump certainly acted as if Putin was pulling his
strings - Putin's intervention in the 2016 election is probably what got
Trump his very narrow margin of victory.

Putin's obvious interest was in getting the US to go for the worst
president on offer, but there were suggestions that Putin did have some
    dirt on Trump.

Well, I *could* do, that's true. I assume you're new here so you've never
seen an SED run-up to a US election. We are 8 weeks out and the signal to
noise ratio here is about to go parabolic. In a few weeks' time, posts on electronics will be dwarfed by those about US politics. It's just a
phenomenon we all have to periodically live with I'm afraid.

It seems to depend on the news chanel. Max and Fox says Trump won. Cnn
and others say Harris won. I only watched about the first 30 minuites
but did not really pay attention to either of their lies or false
information. I just wanted to see if Harris laughed at everything Trupm
    said.

This puts a different spin on it:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwe04vatSKg

Seems Trump was set-up. No surprise there, then. No point in any further "debates" if they're going to pull another stunt like that. All Trump
needs to do is stand on his record and stick to the line: "was the economy stronger under me or under Biden/Harris?" Everyone knows the answer to
that even if they won't admit it. And it's about to get worse. The US
economy is tanking and a 50bp cut in rates is imminent to stave off the inevitable recession. Gross economic mis-management thanks to diaper Joe
    and his side-kick.

Since the US - and the world's - economy took a big hit from Covid in
the last year of Trump's presidency, and Trump's mismanagement of the US response to Covid-19 meant that the US took a bigger hit than it needed
to, you have to be ax dim-witted as Trump to take that seriously.

Everyone knows the answer to that even if they won't admit it.

    You clearly don't.

The rate hikes have brought inflation back under control, and Fed seems
to be on the verge of starting to cut them to allow the economy to start growing again.

Gross economic mis-management thanks to diaper Joe and his side-kick.

The rate hikes were imposed by the Fed, not the administration, and what
the Biden administration has done seems to be fairly sensible - which is
to say not what Trump would have done, because he isn't remotely
sensible, any more than you are.
