I'm sitting here looking at an instrument that blows my mind. It
is a miniature had held spectrum analyser that sweeps from 100
KHz to 12 Ghz. 12 Ghz! I'm looking at the WiFi channel at 2.54
GHz with a waterfall display. Sure, it doesn't have the dynamic
range of a R&S, but it doesn't cost as much either. It is good
enough for my purposes.
I have recently collected a respectable group of test equipment
for not much dinero that anyone can enjoy. All prices are in
CAD:
Knadgbft Ultra 4Inch Spectrum Analyzer Ultra 100KHz-12GHz
$215.35
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CLV1KJCR
Nanovna 10KHz-1.5Ghz Vector Network Analyzer
$72.99

SIGLENT SDG1062X Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator 2
Channels 60 MHz 150 MSa/s
$681.50
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06WWPTSXW
Siglent Technologies SDS1202X-E 200 mhz Digital Oscilloscope 2
Channels
$525.05
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06XZML6RD/
For those interested in wideband reception, there are an
enormous amount of articles on discone antennas that can go from
25MHz to 2GHz. Here is one:
Have You Thought of a Discone (#809) >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOLDrOp43Nw
The Nanovna might be useful to tune these antennas.

Interesting, thank you
For about 10.7 GHz to 12.75 GHz and about I use my satellite LNBs, output to SDR_RTL spectrum analyzer.
LNBs make great downconverters...

Group io has a forum for it. https://groups.io/g/tinysa/topics
There are several models and makers of the NanoVna. And there areTDR function, John Larkin may like it!
several forums for it in Groupsio too.
