Once the windows ( and maybe doors) are compromised, as in getting blown out by nearly 1000 lbs or more wind pressure for even a small one, in addition to getting fractured by flying debris, the structure is usually toast. Lacking shuttering, they would
have to go to Lexan or something to withstand that kind of thing. Winds pressurize the whole place looking to pop the roof off, blow out all the walls, and of course it admits lots of water which does a lot of damage on its own. It's called compromising
the building envelope- hhhmmmkay.
