Astronomers find abundance of Milky Way-like Galaxies in early Universe, rewriting cosmic evolution theories

    Summary:
Galaxies from the early Universe are more like our own Milky Way than previously thought,
flipping the entire narrative of how scientists think about structure formation in the Universe,
    according to new research.

Not exactly. It's more about the first stars - which were pretty much just hydrogen and helium - growing a lot bigger and evolving a lot faster than the subsequent generation of stars.

Pretty much all of them ended up as black holes pretty rapidly, creating the cores around which early galaxies could coalesce.

This has been obvious since the first LIGO observations clued us into the prevalance of star sized black holes in the early universe.

Dutch science journalists have been into this for quite a while now. How come you missed it?
