    Following up on postings about where ore bodies come from. Part of
    the story is geochemical, but not all:

    A new origins-based system for classifying minerals reveals the huge geochemical imprint that life has left on Earth. It could help us
    identify other worlds with life too.

    Why bother? They're too far away to make any use of it.
