Canada didn't seem to be saying anything about windmills (which work) or unicorns (which don't seem to). More windmills - and a lot of grid storage - would work a whole lot better. "Unicorns" are more of John Doe trying to be satirical.

Germany is running on dirty coal.

One has to wonder how. Flyguy can't do joined up logic, so he isn't going to be able to tell us.

Germany shows that it doesn't take much inconvenience before they abandon ALL of their "green" sanctimony.

Having people freezing to death in winter is quite a lot of inconvenience, and burning a bit more fossil carbon until the country can build quite a few more windmills isn't actually abandoning the green policy - merely putting it on hold for the short
    term.

More is to come. Here is Graham Conway, principal scientist of automotive technology at SWRI, debunking the fallacies surrounding EVs:
    https://www.ted.com/talks/graham_conway_the_contradictions_of_battery_operated_vehicles

He's a twit, just like Flyguy. The fact that up to 64% of the electricity currently being generated is generated by burning fossil carbon is an indication of where we are at, not where we are going to end up. As long as wind and solar generate cheaper
electricity than you can get by burning fossil carbon - which has been true for few years now - they are bound to end up dominating the market. The utility companies are going to have to put in a lot more grid storage than they have at the moment, which
is even more capital investment, which is also going to take time, but it really is happening right now, and isn't going to start slowing down until the atmospheric CO2 level starts going back down.
