Tesla’s new factories are ‘gigantic money furnaces,’ Elon Musk says

    https://www.marketwatch.com/story/teslas-new-factories-are-gigantic-money-furnaces-elon-musk-says-11655935191?mod=mw_latestnews

The price decline is entirely because of an increase in the weighted average cost of capital—the cost companies pay to finance their business. It has nothing to do with how many cars Tesla is selling—or not selling.

The report updated key numbers before Tesla reports them. Tesla (ticker: TSLA) should report Q2 delivery figures next week—around July 2. A few weeks later, Q2 earnings will be due.

The second quarter has been wild, with production delays due to Covid-19 wreaking havoc on operations. Jonas cut his second-quarter delivery estimate to 270,000 units from 316,000 units.

Lower deliveries will result in lower gross profit margins. Jonas now projects margins, excluding regulatory credits, will come in at 24.6% instead of his prior estimate of 25.8%.

None of those cuts impacted the price target though. That was driven by a reduction in the weighted average cost of capital.

"And his target price only dropped $100, moving from $1,300 to $1,200. "

It's presently trading around $700, so still lots of money to be made, no?

Putler was NEVER promised that the EU and NATO wouldn't expand by the
    then president of the USA.

Anyone with a brain would have known this was impossible to do.

The US has no say in the EU because it is not a member, so the US
couldn't make promises about the EU's future behavior.

Likewise the US president could not make promises that other nations
would not ASK to join NATO. Which they did because they didn't want to
fall back into the Russian sphere of influence or in Finland's and
Sweden's case because they were afraid of the erratic behavior of
Putler. Remember Pulter has admitted to ordering five invasions of
neighboring countries after promising he would not invade or that the
little green men, "separatists", and soldier on holidays who stopped at disposal stores to pick up surplus Russian army uniforms, gun and TANKS
plus ammunition. So could you trust him?

Lithuania is a major worry. It is doing nothing but imposing the
sanctions the EU put on Russia because of Russia's invasion. Lithuania
is close to the least threatening member of NATO and is in an exposed
position. So out comes the nuclear threat to try and cower the country
to get what he wants. Is that even sane?

And because Putler can't admit it is all his fault, he will push the
nuclear button and expect to get what he wants.

Did you see Segre Lavrov on the BBC - he can't even admit that they are
at war, that it isn't going as well as Russia wanted or even that Pulter
made (and still is making) some epic miscalculations. It's all a plot
from the West. Yes - 140 thousand Russian troops built up on Ukraine's
border crossed over and went to war because the US, The EU and the UN
would in the future condemn them and introduce sanctions for doing so.
You can see how logical that is.

Putler will destroy the world because he knows if he looses he will get
a bullet between the eyes. He is that self important.

Is he even close to sane?

Oddly, Australia seems to be, or used to be, the only force behind drift trikes. Unfortunately, also seems it was a fad.

You can stick the drill on the bottom bracket, but only if... You can find someplace to put your feet. Also, you need at least 1-1 gearing, meaning
you need the same number of teeth for your bottom bracket sprocket as the
rear wheel freewheel hub. And you have the extra weight of the chain.

An essential component of a drill powered bike is the externally driven freewheel hub. Except for what seems to be a dried-up source from drift
    trikes, good luck finding any.

If you can build things, you can modify the fork to hold the freewheel hub bearings, but you still need the freewheel hub.

poking the bear harder. Hopefully it doesn't lead to a major
    escalation.

Putler was NEVER promised that the EU and NATO wouldn't expand by the
    then president of the USA...

That Putler invaded 5 other countries? - That is a matter of fact. That
he admitted to planing it? He said so on NTV (Russian official news)
when he came to take credit for it. His words for the question did
Russia plan these invasions "Of course we did"

Lithuania is a member of the EU and is just enforcing EU sanctions.
Putin doesn't even try to claim otherwise.

And Lithuania is not trying to hold Konigsberg hostage by withholding
food - like another country that could be named.

What will happen in Lithuania? Speculation yes. But even Jon Doe i.e YOU
    wrote just yesterday

"There might be some serious trouble

Lets talk about trolls - YOU claim there could be a dangerous
escalation, then a day later when that fact it is inconvenient - its
    just someone else's unfounded speculation.

    Great job you stupid troll.

The Russian emergency shelter, I forget where it is, but I am sure NORAD
and SAC still remember, is literally under a rock. An absolutely massive
rock of extremely hard granite. I don't remember, but the "rock" other
than being more than 100 kilometers in diameter is also 5 kilometers or
    50 kilometers thick (that's the part I can't remember).

It is so huge that directly killing the people inside is impossibly impractical. Even destroying all access to the outside world would be
costly due to the massive circumference.

Not that you actually understand what Henry Kissinger actually said, let alone what it actually meant when he said it, which was quite a while ago, back when Putin still looked like a politician, rather than an embedded dictator-for-life.

It is not necessary to destroy all that granite.

A nuclear bunker-buster weapon detonated inside the upper parts of
that rock mass will launch an immense shock wave in the granite, which
will cheerfully propagate that shock to the inner surface of any
cavities, and spall the walls off into flying rocks. That day will
    end badly.

And if one isn't enough, the standard approach is to deliver a second
into the cavity opened by the first, and so on. This trick has been
known for a long time, but is now practical with modern technology.

It makes piercing reinforced concrete bomb structures easy, even with
ordinary 2000# bombs. Just peck away.

There are also extreme high speed explosives that create
devistating shock waves. A strike beside the granite roof would
likely find it's way into the tunnels beneath, and that compressed
bone and organ shattering shock wave would not be fun to be anywhere
    near.
