• OT: The Deep State necessitates radical politicians

From John Doe@21:1/5 to All on Tue Jun 7 00:39:20 2022
When the bureaucracy works against elected politicians, only radical politicians can move the ball.

When critical mass is reached, when the Deep State has become entirely too powerful, some ultra radical politician comes along and sends us all into orbit.

We need a constitutional convention, but what are the odds of the Deep
    State allowing that to happen.

The Deep State, now including the military-industrial complex and the
media, was described over 200 years ago in a London Times article on Nov
    11, 1815...

"it is in this bureaucracy, Gentlemen, that you will find the invisible
and mischievous power which thwarts the most noble views, and prevents or weakens the effect of all the salutary reforms which France is incessantly calling for"

That is quoted on Merriam-Webster's site in the definition of "bureaucracy...The Roots of Bureaucracy" . That quote appears in an item
headed "Courts of Justice in France", on page 2 of the Times for Saturday November 11, 1815. It is a report of a speech by Jean Guillaume Hyde de Neuville (according to a USENET poster).

John Doe likes to think that the bureaucracy has it's own plan, and works against elected politicians. Bureaucracies that try that don't last long, except when the elected politician is as much of ineffectual goof as Donald Trump was, and then the

That was Napoleon's bureaucracy, which in fact ran France pretty well. England - at the time - wasn't as well run and didn't really start to get it's act together until 1854.

" The East India Company provided a model for Stafford Northcote, private Secretary to Gladstone who, with Charles Trevelyan, drafted the key report in 1854. The Northcote–Trevelyan Report, recommended a permanent, unified, politically neutral civil
service, with appointments made on merit, and a clear division between staff responsible for routine ("mechanical") and those engaged in policy formulation and implementation ("administrative") work. The report was not implemented, but it came as the
bureaucratic chaos in the Crimean War demonstrated that the military was as backward as the civil service. A Civil Service Commission was set up in 1855 to oversee open recruitment and end patronage as Parliament passed an Act "to relieve the East India
Company from the obligation to maintain the College at Haileybury". Prime Minister Gladstone took the decisive step in 1870 with his Order in Council to implement the Northcote-Trevelyan proposals. This system was broadly endorsed by Commissions chaired
    by Playfair (1874), Ridley (1886), MacDonnell (1914), Tomlin (1931) and Priestley (1955). "

That is quoted on Merriam-Webster's site in the definition of "bureaucracy...The Roots of Bureaucracy". That quote appears in an item headed "Courts of Justice in France", on page 2 of the Times for

John Doe does think that there is a "Deep State" and that the military industrial complex is part of it. It's one of his many idiotic delusions.

Here from Judicial Watch, a contemporary description about the Deep
State... ""The Deep State" from A to Z".

https://youtu.be/zLQ-2mrHXGo (the first 4 minutes are concise)

Judicial Watch is a collection of right wing nit-wits who lose most of the court cases they initiate. It's a kind of welfare state for unscrupulous lawyers.

The fact Washington DC always votes 91+% for the Democrat presidential candidate is no secret and it is more evidence. The fact Robert Mueller's team was made up of Hillary Clinton campaign donors is not coincidence. It wasn't even an effort by the special prosecutor, it's all he had to choose from. The Deep State is not an organized effort, it's a shared mindset.

Educated people do prefer the Democratic Party. It's not wonderful, but it beats the pants off what's left of the Republicans.

What John Doe is saying is that the bureaucracy gets it's work done by people who have had enough education to do it right. Judicial Watch relies on the incompetent half-wits who can't get proper work.

Absolute spot on assessment of Trump. An abject idiot pointing
fingers at everyone else, hypnotizing the nation into thinking he was
going to end it all, and falling flat on his face 100% of the time.
He spent his entire time killing programs to fund his border fence.
And continuing in the republican party election tampering machine
build that has been going on for decades. Now, the number of red
states with suppressive election laws in place has jumped from 17 to
    over 26.

The number of border arrests under Trump were higher only because
the number of central American nations people were fleeing from
    increased.

The only thing more stupid than Donald John Trump is a Trump

When the bureaucracy works against elected politicians, only radical
    politicians can move the ball.

When critical mass is reached, when the Deep State has become entirely too >> powerful, some ultra radical politician comes along and sends us all into
    orbit.

We need a constitutional convention, but what are the odds of the Deep
    State allowing that to happen.

The Deep State, now including the military-industrial complex and the
media, was described over 200 years ago in a London Times article on Nov
    11, 1815...

"it is in this bureaucracy, Gentlemen, that you will find the invisible
and mischievous power which thwarts the most noble views, and prevents or
weakens the effect of all the salutary reforms which France is incessantly >> calling for"

That is quoted on Merriam-Webster's site in the definition of
"bureaucracy...The Roots of Bureaucracy" . That quote appears in an item
headed "Courts of Justice in France", on page 2 of the Times for Saturday
November 11, 1815. It is a report of a speech by Jean Guillaume Hyde de
Neuville (according to a USENET poster).

When the bureaucracy works against elected officials, only radical
    politicians can move the ball.

When critical mass is reached, when the Deep State has become entirely too powerful, some ultra radical politician comes along and sends us all into orbit.

We need a constitutional convention, but the Deep State will prevent that.

The Deep State now includes the military-industrial complex and the media.
It was described over 200 years ago in a London Times article on Nov 11, 1815...

"it is in this bureaucracy, Gentlemen, that you will find the invisible
and mischievous power which thwarts the most noble views, and prevents or weakens the effect of all the salutary reforms which France is incessantly calling for"

So, it IS cheating; a president who uses his government position to achieve
his life goals isn't doing his duty to the country at large. That would
lead to impeachment, of course. And it did.

Bill is an Australian chronic liar, incapable of telling the truth.

And John Doe is a big enough idiot that he that thinks that it is worth his time to post his unsupported opinion. He is much too much of an idiot to be able to put together the sort of coherent argument that might support, if such an argument could exist

Here, the nym-shifting troll (once again proving its ignorance) pretends
to know Always Wrong as "Bubble Sorter", but in fact...

    1. The only result for "Bubble Sorter" (two words) is in the nym-shifting troll's post.

    2. "BubbleSorter" (one word) was attributed to Always Wrong by another
sleuth, but it obviously wasn't its Mr Hyde persona.

    3. It's the wrong attribute anyway. The attribute "Always Wrong" refers to
a nickname given by this group, not to a nym-shifting alias.

I invented "cannibal left[ist]" to counter "religious right". It's very effective. If you say "cannibal left", they drop religious bashing labels
like a hot potato. It might be too hard for most other people, but I will continue using it because, even though not yet properly defined, the
    meaning is self-evident.

Cannibal leftist zealots who promote mutilating children before they r

That's what John Doe likes to think motivates the surgical adjustments.
He's completely wrong, but much too stupid to realise it.

The cannibal leftist zealot "bitrex" is upset because our Supreme Cour
t will allow states to prevent women from killing defenseless and helpless unborn children, if states choose to do so.

The changes in the law won't actually have that effect. They will just
make abortions illegal, so that unhappily pregnant women will just go back to getting illegal abortions. Self-righteous twits will feel good about it, but the main effect will be more maternal deaths, rather than fewer abortions.

bitrex says our Supreme Court is "restricting abortion", which is of c
    ourse an irrational conclusion.

John Doe thinks that his opinions are "rational". He's never bothered t

The religious right actually do go to church. Leftists don't go in for cannibalism.

    It's very effective.

Sure. It identifies you as lying idiot.

If you say "cannibal left", they drop religious bashing labels like a hot potato.

Why would they? The religious right does have silly ideas about abortion, and their religion does come into that.

It might be too hard for most other people, but I will continue using it because, even though not yet properly defined, the meaning is self-evident.

The meaning is that you are happy invent nonsensical terms of abuse, purely for the pleasure of being abusive.

The "stick framing" my monitor and other computer stuff is mounted on, is actually more hideous than meets the eye. It's a huge goalpost style contraption that also helps support my cats' "Skyway". There Skyway goes from room to room overhead and allows them to get around, up out of the way,
without being underfoot. They have used it every day all day for years. The small cat has been tearing around on it, FAST, really FAST, every once in a while for the last few months. Some of the boards that are not well secured start bouncing around. It's scary to watch, how she doesn't fly off of the thing.
